Yes, or rather, you can activate what we call "ticket notifications" - not to be confused with an actual waiting list.
By activating ticket notifications for your event, people interested in buying tickets can sign up to receive an automatic email if any tickets become available, e.g. following refunds or if more tickets are released at a later time.
Here's how to activate ticket notifications:
- Go to your Ticketbutler page and select your event.
- Choose "Ticket settings and discounts" on the left-hand side.
- Then click on "Ticket notifications" in the menu.
- Simply tick the box on this page.
Do all people who have signed up receive a notification?
As a general rule, everyone on the notifications list receives a notification at the exact same time - and from here it's first come, first served!
This is simply to increase your chances of selling the tickets, especially if more tickets become available just before the event.
However, if only a few tickets are released at once, a smart algorithm in the system will only send a notification email to the very first handful of people who signed up. This is simply to avoid disappointing too many interested people on the list.
In other words, the more tickets that become available, the more people will be notified.
