You can easily refund orders yourself from your Ticketbutler dashboard. You can also refund individual tickets in an order - you can read about it here.
Here's how to refund an order:
- Go to your Ticketbutler page and select the event.
- Select "Attendees" on the left-hand side.
- You will now have a complete list of your ticket buyers, including order ID, name and email.
- Click "Refund options" or "Cancel options" (if the purchase was free), and then "Refund entire order" or "Cancel entire order".
- Confirm the refund or cancellation.
- The ticket buyer automatically receives a confirmation via email, including amount refunded if any.
Please note that you cannot move a purchase to a different event. In this case, you will have to ask the ticket buyer to place a new order and refund the original one.
Ticket fee
If you've set up the event so that the ticket buyer pays the ticket fee, the fee will be automatically deducted from the refund. This is because there are still handling and refund costs associated with both purchasing and refunding tickets. Read more here.
Additional services bought by the ticket buyer, such as CO2 offsetting, SMS tickets, and Refund protection will also not be refunded in case of refunding the entire order. Transaction fees (for business and non-EU cards) are also not refunded.
Booking Protect
If your ticket buyer has purchased the refund protection through Booking Protect, please direct them to this support guide.
