There are numerous ticketing systems available on the market, each catering to different target audiences and offering various features. When selecting a system, it's crucial to choose one that best suits your needs. We offer two different ticketing systems:
- Billetfix (our more budget-friendly system)
- Ticketbutler (our premium system)
Here's a brief explanation of both systems, including their differences, to help you make an informed decision about which one is the right fit for you as an event organiser.
Billetfix vs. Ticketbutler: Pricing
Billetfix, as mentioned earlier, is the more budget-friendly ticketing system, with a ticket fee of only DKK 3 + 3% excluding VAT. Free tickets are completely free!
Ticketbutler charges DKK 4 + 4% excluding VAT, with an additional fee of 8 DKK per free ticket. Read more here. If you sell over 5,000 tickets annually, feel free to contact us at hello@ticketbutler.io.
Both ticketing systems have one thing in common: it's completely free to sign up!
Billetfix vs. Ticketbutler: Branding
Billetfix maintains its own branding, including Billetfix colours and logo. With Ticketbutler, you have the option to customise your dashboard and ticket sales with your own logo, colour codes, font style, and more.
Billetfix vs. Ticketbutler: Data ownership
If you use Billetfix to sell your tickets, Billetfix officially owns all the data (although you have access to it). Ticket buyers also subscribe to the Billetfix newsletter (not your own, as is the case if you use Ticketbutler).
If you use Ticketbutler to sell your tickets, you, as the event organiser, own all the data. This means that ticket buyers subscribe to YOUR newsletter (unless you actively disable this feature).
Billetfix vs. Ticketbutler: Functionality
Ticketbutler offers many more features compared to Billetfix.
With Ticketbutler, you can activate seating plans, sell gift cards, print name badges, and more. Check out our popular name badge printer solution here.
Through Ticketbutler, you can choose to receive ongoing payouts via our partner "Stripe" or your own payment gateway if you have an agreement with providers such as Nets, Bambora, or Clearhaus. This is particularly useful if you have significant expenses leading up to your event.
Furthermore, Ticketbutler provides more flexibility to customise the customer's purchase flow. If you have specific development requests, the Ticketbutler team may also be able to accommodate these - simply contact us for a quote.
What would we recommend?
That's a great question. If you're, for example, a staff or student association organising a free event, Billetfix is perfectly suitable.
If you prioritise branding or require access to special features, Ticketbutler is the way to go.
Considering the minimal price difference between the two systems, it can quickly become worthwhile, especially if you leverage newsletter sign-ups for remarketing purposes.
Both systems have the following in common:
- They are based on the same platform, providing an intuitive user and purchasing experience.
- They are among the most affordable ticketing systems on the market.
- They have the same dedicated support team.
