Are you used to getting your ticket sales revenue paid out after your event is over?
Well, with Ticketbutler, you have the freedom to decide how and when you want to get paid; either as a lump sum after your event or through ongoing payouts leading up to it.
Here's what you need to know:
Payout as a lump sum after the event
- By default, we transfer the revenue after the event to ensure that guests can receive refunds if the event gets canceled.
- Payouts are typically processed twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays. So, within three business days after your event, the funds are usually scheduled for transfer. Just keep in mind that it might take a few more days for the money to show up in your bank account, depending on your bank's processing time.
Ongoing payouts via Stripe
- If you have recurring events with significant ticket sales or if you have pre-event expenses, you can set up ongoing payouts with Ticketbutler. This means you'll receive your revenue in installments before the event takes place.
- It's important to select the payout method when creating a user and BEFORE you start selling tickets. Once you've sold your first ticket, we are unfortunately unable to change the payout method, which means you'll need to create a new Ticketbutler account. This is because, with Ticketbutler's payment solution, the ticket revenue goes straight into a secure client account, acting as an intermediary account that we cannot access.
What to do if you've already sold your first ticket but still want ongoing payouts
No worries! If you're still interested in ongoing payouts prior to your event, you can deactivate ticket sales for your current event (for example, by reducing the ticket quantity and providing the new ticket link in the event description). Then, create a fresh Ticketbutler account and choose Stripe as the payment solution during signup.
After that, recreate your event and share the ticket sales using the new ticket link or by embedding the new iFrame widget on your website.
Remember, if you choose ongoing payouts via Stripe, they will charge a small fee based on your revenue. You can find more information about their pricing here.
Your ticket buyers can also pay with MobilePay when using Stripe. Just activate it in your Stripe dashboard, but remember to check up on the fees first. You can do that here.
